You will be working individually and within small groups with autistic learners aged 18 and over, supporting their development of knowledge and skills that will enhance their wellbeing, independence and social inclusion, helping to make significant differences to their lives.
At Jigsaw Plus, we use behaviour driven teaching strategies to encourage positive outcomes and development of our learners. You will be working in our Centre for Lifelong Learning as well as accompanying our adult learners in the community, helping them to put their learning into practice. Professional, personal or voluntary experience of working with adults or young people with disabilities The ability to keep calm in high pressure situations A positive, can-do attitude Confidence working with adults who exhibit challenging behaviour and supporting others with personal/intimate care where required A commitment to our regular and ongoing professional development programme and training A driving licence or access to a lift (due to our remote location) Salary : £25000 (Plus a £500 bonus on completion of probation) Contract terms:
