Assistant Management Accountant (Maternity Cover CONTRACT)Can be based at Canterbury, Maidstone or Medway | Full-time | 40 Hours per Week£33,000 – £36,000 + Excellent Benefits· 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service)· Pension scheme and life assurance· Employee discounts and lifestyle benefits platform· Career development and training opportunitiesAn established and highly respected automotive retail group is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team on a maternity cover contract.This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated finance professional to gain valuable experience within a fast-paced commercial environment, supporting day-to-day financial reporting and accounting operations.The RoleReporting to the Management Accountant, responsibilities will include:· Assisting with forecasting and budgeting activities· Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial reports· Responding to finance-related queries from senior management and operational teams· Liaising with regional and group finance departments to ensure consistency across reporting processes· Assisting in maintaining accurate financial records and controlsThe CandidateThe successful candidate will demonstrate:· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills· The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team· A proactive attitude and willingness to learn· Strong communication and organisational skillsPrevious experience within a Car Dealership and an accounts or finance environment is desirable.
