Credit Controller

A leading organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join its established finance team based in Goole. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful business that has a strong reputation across the market.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer accounts, reducing overdue debt, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the wider finance function in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing cash collections through phone, email, and customer relationship management
• Posting and allocating cash payments across multiple currencies
• Resolving payment queries and liaising with internal departments to remove account blocks
• Conducting credit checks and maintaining customer credit limits and payment terms
• Supporting month-end processes and finance reporting requirements
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the finance function
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within Credit Control
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Confident handling account queries and negotiating payment solutions
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Finance or Credit Management qualifications advantageous (e.g. AAT)
• Experience using SAP, working with international customers, and managing multiple currencies would be beneficial
