About the role

This role requires an exceptional academic who has a high potential for national/international research impact, within at least one of the priority areas of:

• Clean Energy Industries:  Hydrogen and biogas fuels, energy networks, environmental economics, green finance, ethical supply chains, and behavioural change.
• Digital and Technologies:  AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, spatial intelligence, robotics, human-computer interaction, and digital transformation.
• Life Sciences:  Drug discovery, diagnostics, pain research, preventative healthcare, wearable biosensors, and public health surveillance.
• Professional and Business Services:  Retail innovation, fintech, smart logistics, digital policy, and inclusive growth.

This is a research-intensive role, with the expectation of significant contributions to research excellence and innovation as well as contributing to teaching within your associated Department. Successful applicants will be required to relocate to the UK. Bath offers a reimbursement scheme to help towards relocation and visa costs.

Applications will remain open until all positions are filled. Recruitment will be conducted in rounds, with Round 1 closing for review in 7th December  2025, shortlisting in January 2026 , and remote interviews scheduled for January / February 2026 . Salary: £47,389 to £61,759 The salary range includes three discretionary points which are only applied for starting salaries in highly exceptional situations.
This opportunity is open to international applicants currently living and working outside the UK (for at least the past 24 months), in accordance with the funding requirements of the UK Governments Global Talent Fund Scheme
