HGV Technician (Late-Shift) Job at Worthing BN RU Full Time

*Salary: Starting at £46,659.60 DOE *(Base salary starting at £45,349.20 p.a. DOE plus £1,310.40 p.a. uplift for late shift working)

*Hours:*45 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 2:00pm – 12:30am with a 30-minute unpaid break per day, Friday 2:00pm to 7:00pm.

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team to undertake all duties of a commercial vehicle technician by carrying out inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installation of components as per your current experience. This role requires a strong technical background, practical experience with various tools and equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. You should have a current clean UK driving licence.

*What will your role look like?*

In this role, you will undertake all duties of a Commercial Vehicle Technician by carrying out inspections, repairs, maintenance and installation of components in accordance with the experience, and training given and to the standards and quality of Mercedes-Benz.

*Are you the right person for the job?*

The following criteria are essential for this role

· Completed a recognised vehicle apprenticeship

· Motor vehicle mechanic/technician experience

· Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Heavy goods Vehicles

· At least one year’s experience as an HGV technician with general vehicle repairs

· Able to work under own initiative and part of a team

· Carrying out PMI’s, MOT preparations, servicing and maintenance of HGVs

· Fault finding and diagnosis
