Role: Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter / Technician

Salary: £40,000 £45,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Location: Near Humberside Airport (Commutable from Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Brigg, Barton-upon-Humber, Doncaster, Gainsborough, Market Rasen, Immingham)

TechNichols Resourcing are working with a successful heavy plant manufacturing business near Humberside Airport who are looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Mechanic / HGV Technician / Plant Fitter to join their site garage team.

Due to the retirement of a long-serving employee, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company offering long-term stability and career development.

Working Hours

Monday Friday, 7:00am 4:00pm

The Role

You will maintain and repair a fleet of HGVs, plant vehicles, dumpers, tippers and light vehicles, working closely with the maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime and ensure all vehicles remain safe and operational.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planned maintenance and servicing of Light Vehicles, HGVs and mobile plant equipment
• Mechanical diagnostics and repair work
• Emergency breakdown repairs across the site
• Root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
• Completing inspections and maintenance schedules via CMMS
• Managing and maintaining spare parts levels

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, Mobile Plant Maintenance or similar
• Experience as a Vehicle Mechanic, or HGV Technician or Plant Fitter
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and diesel engines
• Full UK driving licence
