Are you a passionate and experienced humanistic counsellor or psychotherapist looking to inspire the next generation of practitioners?
We’re seeking a registered/accredited humanistic counsellor or psychotherapist with experience of teaching in this or a related field and with considerable clinical experience and an interest in practice research. In this permanent, part-time (0.4 fte, 2 days per week: Wednesday and Thursday) position within our dynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy team at the University of Brighton you’ll be joining a collaborative team of eight experienced professionals who teach across a range of modules and approaches, and we value respectful dialogue between them.
We run two courses: BACP-accredited Postgraduate Diplomas in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Humanistic and Psychodynamic) and a UKCP-accredited MSc in Psychotherapy. You will need to play a key role in shaping our students’ learning experience through: Delivering engaging lectures and seminars; marking and other assessment; scrutinising student portfolios; supervising research projects, selection and interviewing applicants to our courses; and support with the planning and developing of modules.
