Founded on trust, care, and reliability, were more than a service providerwere a fully embedded partner in our clients operations.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a HVAC / Gas multiskilled Engineer, you will be part of our National engineering team, responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial and retail sites. You will ensure HVAC / Gas systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and client requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WITHIN YOUR SPECIFIED AREAPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)Carry out PPM tasks in line with
SFG20 , statutory requirements, and contract specifications.Maintain and service HVAC and gas plant including:Commercial gas boilers and heatersAHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF, split systemsPumps, valves, fans, controls, and associated plantEnsure all works are completed proactively, efficiently, and to the required standard.Reactive Maintenance & Fault FindingDiagnose faults across both HVAC and gas systems, completing repairs within SLA requirements.Minimise downtime through effective troubleshooting and first-time fix focus.Escalate complex issues to the helpdesk or Contract Manager where appropriate.Compliance & Health & SafetyEnsure all gas works are completed in accordance with
Gas Safe regulations
and current legislation.Ensure HVAC works comply with
F-Gas regulations , manufacturer guidance, and company procedures.Maintain site logbooks and ensure accurate compliance documentation is completed and uploaded via the CAFM system.Work strictly in accordance with company H&S policies, RAMS, and statutory requirements.Quotations & Remedial WorksIdentify remedial works and produce
accurate, commercially sound quotations , including:Correct parts identificationRealistic labour allowancesClear scope and methodologyCommunication & Client LiaisonCommunicate professionally with clients, helpdesk, supervisors, and contract managers.Provide clear updates on works completed, defects identified, and follow-on actions required.Always act as a professional ambassador for Linaker.Asset, Van & Equipment ManagementMaintain van stock, tools, test equipment, and calibration devices.Ensure company assets are stored, maintained, and reported correctly.Participate in the on-call rota where applicable.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREssential Gas QualificationsNVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration / HVAC (or equivalent)F-Gas Category 1Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skillsCity & Guilds COCN1
