Customer Engineering Apprentice
in gas networks, you’ll blend classroom learning with hands-on experience. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers in customers’ homes, while building your knowledge and skills at our York Training Centre.As you develop, you’ll take on the work carried out by our Service Beyond the Meter team. From repairs & maintenance to installations in customers’ homes. You’ll also support people in more vulnerable situations, supporting those who may be older, unwell, or unsure of how to fix their boiler. It’s about taking the time to listen, explaining things clearly and making sure they feel safe in their own home.You don’t need to have it all figured out from day one. This is a role where you’ll grow in confidence, build practical skills, and develop with a strong support network around you. And after 2 years, you’ll be ready to step into the role fully, using your skills to support customers when it matters most.The future of Northern Gas Network looks a lot like you.You don’t need experience in this kind of role to get started.
