Full job description
Alexander Daniels are delighted to be supporting a client in the search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This position plays a key role in supporting the finance team, contributing to the production of reliable financial reports and helping maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
- Calculate and post accruals and prepayments
- Analyse gross margins and overhead costs, highlighting variances where appropriate
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register
- Support cash flow management, including cash forecasting activities
- Complete bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash movements
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements
- Prepare monthly service fee calculations and raise associated invoices
- Process supplier payments via online banking platforms
- Handle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliations
- Assist with the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors where required
Qualifications
- ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified
- AAT qualification (or working towards)
