The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their busy and supportive finance team.

This role is offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, taking ownership of their workload, and contributing to a high-performing finance function.

You will support the Financial Controller and wider team in delivering accurate and timely financial operations across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing within a manufacturing environment
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Managing petty cash
• Project invoicing, including reverse charge VAT
• Processing bank payments and completing reconciliations
• Supporting Purchase Ledger as required
• Producing financial reports and assisting with management reporting
• Supporting tax compliance, including overseas turnover reporting
• Managing multi-currency transactions across international entities

About You

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
• Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT, and bank reconciliations
• Experience handling multi-currency transactions
• Confident working independently and managing your own workload
• Strong Excel skills (particularly within manual VAT/tax processes)
• Experience with Sage 50 (desirable)
• AAT qualified or studying (advantageous)
