Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The
role
The main objective of the MDT coordinator is to facilitate a clinically appropriate and timely pathway for cancer or suspected cancer patients. The post holder is responsible for the efficient running of multidisciplinary team meetings for the speciality and ensuring patients progress through the pathway promptly. This includes organising meetings, ensuring all required documentation is available for treatment decision making, recording meeting outcomes, and coordinating the patient pathway.
All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHSGGC can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
