An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Client Bookkeeper to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Loughton.
This progressive firm has built an enviable reputation for delivering exceptional service to a diverse client portfolio, ranging from owner-managed businesses and property companies through to high-net-worth individuals.
As a result of continued growth, they are now seeking a capable and commercially minded bookkeeping professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients.
The Role
Working closely with clients and senior management, your responsibilities will include:
• Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across a variety of sectors
• Maintaining accounting records using Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
• Producing Management Accounts and associated reporting packs
• Bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations
• Assisting with Corporation Tax and Personal Tax compliance work
• Liaising directly with clients regarding bookkeeping, VAT and software queries
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems and process improvements
• Preparing year-end information for the accounts team
• Ensuring deadlines are met whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong bookkeeping experience across a varied client portfolio
• Excellent working knowledge of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Experience preparing VAT Returns and Management Accounts
• Exposure to Personal Tax and Corporation Tax work
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
