GVG is a specialist asset management and maintenance consultancy that helps asset-intensive organisations manage risk, improve performance and ensure compliance. We work across critical infrastructure and industrial sectors, supporting clients to understand, manage and optimise their physical assets throughout their lifecycle.
*The opportunity*
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Project Assistant to support the delivery of an asset data collection and verification project within the water industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an undergraduate or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience working within the UK water sector, learn how water treatment and distribution assets are managed, and develop practical knowledge of asset management principles.

* Capture photographs and supporting information where required.
* Assist in organising and maintaining project documentation.
* Work closely with project managers, consultants and client representatives.
* Follow all site safety requirements and procedures.

We are looking for someone who is:
* Currently studying towards, or recently graduated from, a degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Asset Management, Project Management, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
* Organised, reliable and detail-oriented.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
* Confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.
* Willing to travel regularly between client sites.
* Interested in infrastructure, utilities, engineering or asset management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Essential requirements*
* Full UK driving licence.
* Access to a vehicle or willingness to travel throughout the region.
* Ability to work on operational sites and occasionally outdoors.
* Right to work in the UK.
