Our client is a successful and growing manufacturing business seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead health and safety compliance across their operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, driving continuous improvement and promoting a positive safety culture. The role also offers future development into wider compliance and management systems responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead health and safety activities across the business
* Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and best practice
* Develop and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Conduct audits, inspections and accident investigations
* Deliver training, toolbox talks and safety awareness initiatives
* Monitor compliance records and statutory requirements
* Manage contractor safety and site inductions
* Promote a positive and proactive safety culture
* Support wider compliance and management system activities
You Will Ideally Have:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
* Previous Health & Safety experience within manufacturing, engineering, warehousing, construction or a similar environment
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
* Experience carrying out audits, investigations and risk assessments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A practical, hands-on approach with strong organisational skills
Desirable:
Manufacturing or production experience
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
* Experience supporting compliance or Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
