A fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Chef Manager to lead a beautifully run workplace hospitality operation within a professional corporate environment.
Houston & Hawkes are looking for a confident and organised Chef Manager to oversee a high-quality staff dining and hospitality service, delivering fresh, seasonal food alongside exceptional day-to-day client experience.
This is a well-structured site serving lunch three days per week for around 100 employees, offering hot mains, vibrant salad bars with proteins, alongside ad hoc hospitality and events. It’s the perfect role for a chef who enjoys autonomy, leadership and creating consistently high standards within a calm, professional environment.
Working Monday to Friday, this position offers the rare combination of strong work-life balance and a rewarding leadership role within an award-winning hospitality business.
THE ROLE
• Leading and developing a small kitchen team of three
• Delivering fresh, high-quality lunches including hot mains and salad bar offerings
• Supporting hospitality requests and occasional events
• Managing kitchen organisation, standards and day-to-day operations
• Maintaining excellent allergen management and food safety compliance
• Completing weekly bookwork, reporting and administrative duties
• Managing stock control, purchasing and supplier relationships
• Using computer systems confidently for reporting, ordering and administration
• Building strong client relationships and maintaining exceptional service standards
ABOUT YOU
• Previous Chef Manager experience essential
• Experience leading and motivating small teams
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Excellent allergen management and food safety knowledge
• Confident completing bookwork and administrative responsibilities
• Computer literate and comfortable using reporting and ordering systems
• Professional, reliable and calm under pressure
• Passion for fresh food, hospitality and customer experience
• Flexible, hands-on and proactive approach
