Mechanical Engineer

We offer structured training and clear progression routes to help you build a rewarding engineering career.Purpose:As a Mechanical Engineer, youll be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and critical building systems are maintained to the highest standard.You will carry out PPM, reactive and breakdown work on all mechanical systems, with knowledge of HVAC, hot & cold-water systems and generators, and the ability to fault-find using graphical and alarm data. Basic electrical knowledge is desirable.Key Responsibilities:Ensure that routine
PPM
is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset listsEnsure that
reactive tasks
throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related itemsComplete and submit all paperwork for reactive and breakdown tasks and ensure compliance with contractual KPIs/SLAsMaintain strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and client representatives and ensure professional image of Smart Managed SolutionsEnsure that all plant rooms are always locked and are kept clean and tidySupervise and monitor sub-contractors works whilst they are on siteEnsure compliance with Permit to Work, safety procedures, and client requirements; promote safe practices with correct PPE and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments.Education and Training:Formally trained in a mechanical engineering discipline (e.g. HVAC, Plumbing) to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 22 + years experience in a similar roleWhy SMART?Mandatory Leave on your BirthdayLife-Event LeaveLife Assurance25 Days annual leave + Bank HolidaysThree fully paid volunteering daysHoliday-Buy SchemeCareer ProgressionWorkplace PensionEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWhile technology continues to evolve, its our people who set us apart.
