Position: Theatre Team Lead – Orthopaedics (Practice Educator)
Job Advert Theatre Team Lead Orthopaedics (Practice Educator) 37.5 hours per week | Woodland Hospital, Kettering Join us as a Theatre Team Lead Orthopaedics, where youll play a key role in delivering outstanding clinical outcomes within an environment that truly offers more time to care. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner with a strong passion for mentorship, education, and team development.
As a Theatre Team Lead with a Practice Educator focus, you will be instrumental in supporting, guiding, and developing our theatre scrub team to achieve excellence in patient care. Previous experience in a Practice Educator or mentorship role would be highly advantageous. We are looking for someone with the confidence, drive, and vision to positively influence practice, support change, and help others reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional standards of clinical care to surgical patients Lead and support the Orthopaedic scrub team, acting as a role model for best practice Provide mentorship, coaching, and educational support to staff at all levels Contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment in line with Speaking Up for Safety principles Support service development and continuous quality improvement Work across a stimulating and varied Orthopaedic case mix Where youll be based Woodland Hospital is one of Northampton shires leading private hospitals, located in Kettering.
The hospital has 28 single rooms, all with en suite facilities, a 10-bed short stay unit, and an inpatient ward supporting a wide range of surgical activity. Woodland Hospital is equipped with four laminar flow theatres, providing an ultra-clean environment that is particularly suited to complex orthopaedic procedures. Services include arthroscopy, hip and knee replacements, hip resurfacing, and spinal surgery, supported by a surgical extended care unit.
What youll bring with you:
Current medical and/or surgical experience within a hospital environment Current registration with the HCPC or NMC (UK) and ongoing CDP Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards in a surgical environment The ability to work in other Clinical departments as required Excellent communication skills both written and oral Excellent customer care skill A good standard of computer literacy The ability to work within a team The ability to time-manage Flexible during periods of low activity and work extra hours where required Why join us?
