Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Central Bath (3 days per week on-site)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 FTE
Hours: 18–20 hours per week
The Role
Reed is partnering with an award-winning and growing organisation based in Bath to recruit a Part-Time Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, high-performing team in a varied and hands-on finance role.
This position would suit an organised and detail-focused individual with strong bookkeeping experience who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the finance function while delivering excellent service to both commercial and domestic customers
Key Responsibilities
- Data processing and maintaining accurate financial records
- Producing invoices
- Managing supplier payments
- Liaising with customers
- Chasing outstanding payments
- Receipting and allocating funds
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing VAT returns
- Running payroll
- Producing financial reports
- Liaising with external accountants
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or a similar role
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Confident across all areas of the accounting function
- Strong IT skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, articulate, with a confident telephone manner
