Role Summary
The International Qualifications Trainer for Pearson Edexcel International Qualifications plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, qualification-based training courses to adult delegates. This position demands up-to-date expertise in the education sector, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to present and communicate effectively. Trainers are responsible for thorough pre-event preparation, professional delivery of training sessions, and consistent feedback reporting. Essential experience includes teaching Pearson Edexcel specifications, managing diverse learning needs, and utilising technology to enhance training. The role requires excellent organisational, leadership, and customer service skills, along with a commitment to professional development and adherence to Pearson’s quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
This role will require International travel throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements for Trainers
Pre-Event Preparation
- Attend in-house briefings provided by Pearson as needed, to gain a thorough understanding of the courses and supporting materials.
- Participate in training sessions designed to build the technical skills necessary for effective online event delivery.
- Engage in practice with training resources to ensure complete confidence and competence in their use.
Delivery of Training Sessions
- Ensure all session objectives are fully achieved during the training event.
- Present information in a manner that is appropriate for both the participants and the training environment.
- Respond to customer queries during training professionally and appropriately.
- Manage personal time and make necessary travel arrangements with the support of Pearson.
- Conduct training sessions in strict accordance with guidelines set by both the regulator and Pearson.
Feedback and Evaluation
- Complete and submit a summary feedback form for each session delivered.
Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience teaching Pearson Edexcel International Specifications.
- Background in delivering effective training to adult participants.
- Comprehensive understanding of qualification and assessment principles.
- Strong subject knowledge relevant to the training content.
- Experience in teaching, administration, assessment, or management within the subject and level required.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Capacity to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with laptops, internet usage, and Microsoft PowerPoint, as well as experience using technology to enhance training delivery.
- Ability to support the development of a wide range of teaching professionals with diverse perspectives.
- Open and positive approach to all forms of feedback.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Professional representation of Pearson, adhering to the company’s contractual terms and conditions during training sessions.
- Delivery of training using materials prepared by Pearson’s team of qualification-based writers, maintaining consistency with Pearson’s and the regulator’s quality standards.
