People, Culture & Performance

• Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of talented software engineers.
• Set clear goals, guide development, and build personalised growth journeys.
• Lead hiring and onboarding, ensuring every new engineer has the best possible start.
• Shape a collaborative, inclusive, high‑performing engineering culture.

Engineering Excellence

• Drive continuous improvement across the entire software development lifecycle.
• Champion great engineering practices, high-quality delivery, and technical consistency.
• Remove blockers, support problem-solving, and keep teams focused and effective.
• Stay curious and up-to-date with emerging technologies — especially the application of AI.

Cross‑functional Influence

• Partner closely with Product, QA, and Programme teams to ensure alignment and delivery success.
• Represent engineering in strategic conversations and planning forums.
• Navigate stakeholder expectations and manage escalations with calm professionalism.
• Contribute technical input into major commercial opportunities and bids.

Bonus points if you have:

• Degree-level education (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
• Prior experience in coaching, mentorship, or team leadership before moving into management
