Job Brief Senior Process Technologist Sector: Food Manufacturing (Bakery) Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Process Technologist to join a well-established food manufacturer based in Greater Manchester- North of the City. This sits within a close-knit, collaborative technical team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing product trials, supporting production, and mentoring junior technologists, ensuring efficient delivery of products to major UK retailers. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage production trials across a range of products Work hands-on in the factory on a daily basis Support troubleshooting and problem-solving in production Mentor and develop junior technologists within the team Ensure smooth progression of products through the NPD gate process Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer timelines and expectations Maintain strong communication with production and technical teams Key Requirements Experience & Background Experience in food manufacturing (essential) Strong understanding of NPD processes and product launches Experience working in a factory-based, fast-paced environment Skills & Attributes Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive Strong personality with the ability to influence and lead Team-oriented with the ability to build strong working relationships Practical, hands-on approach Willingness to learn and adapt quickly Working Hours Standard: Monday Thursday: 08:30 17:00 Friday: 08:30 16:00 Flexibility required: Time off in lieu / flexibility offered where possible Additional Notes Strong team culture with a family feel on site Role requires flexibility due to the nature of food manufacturing The business is keen to hire the right person , even if the process takes time
