£50,000+The OpportunityWe’re looking for a
Platform Lead Engineer
to take ownership of core platforms and lead the delivery of key infrastructure and cloud projects across the business.This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive
platform improvements, project delivery, and technical direction , while acting as the senior escalation point for complex issues.You’ll work closely with the wider IT team and leadership to ensure systems are
stable, secure, and continuously improving , while mentoring engineers and raising overall technical standards.What You’ll Be DoingLeading the delivery of
infrastructure and platform projects
across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environmentsActing as the
technical owner for core platforms , ensuring performance, reliability, and ongoing improvementTaking ownership of
major incidents and escalations , driving issues through to resolutionIdentifying opportunities to
improve systems, processes, and service deliveryWorking closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business needsSupporting and mentoring engineers, acting as a
go-to escalation point
within the teamDriving
change management activities , ensuring smooth and controlled deploymentsMaintaining high standards across
documentation, monitoring, and reportingEnsuring
security best practices
are embedded across platforms and projectsWhat We’re Looking ForStrong experience in a
senior infrastructure / platform / 3rd line roleProven track record of
leading and delivering IT projects
end-to-endExperience working across
virtualisation, cloud, and core infrastructureAbility to
own and resolve complex technical issues
in live environmentsStrong communication skills – able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience mentoring or leading other engineersTech EnvironmentVirtualisation: VMware / Hyper-VCloud: AzureBackup & DR: Veeam, Zerto, Commvault (or similar)Servers & Storage: Dell / HPE, SAN / NASNetworking: Cisco / MerakiMicrosoft Stack: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group PolicyMonitoring: PRTG, Lansweeper, TenableScripting: PowerShellWhy Join?Opportunity to
