About The Role
This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until July 2027. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.
The starting salary will be from £50,253 on Grade G, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working with 3 days per week on the Streatham Campus and two working from home.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Education Support Services Team, working to lead a coherent, evidence‑based approach to identifying evolving University demand for learning spaces.
In this role, you will lead a coordinated, evidence-based approach to understanding and shaping the University’s learning environment requirements. You will work across a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that evolving demands—such as changes in student numbers, teaching delivery, assessment and institutional priorities—are clearly understood and translated into effective planning and use of learning spaces. Acting as a central point of coordination, you will bring together people, data and processes to support informed, balanced and joined-up decision making.
About you
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Planning, Faculties, Timetabling and Examinations, Estates, IT, Education Innovation and other professional services, ensuring strong engagement and a shared understanding of priorities and constraints. You will also play a key role in capturing academic input and translating pedagogic and curriculum developments into practical implications for space, operations and future investment.
The successful candidate will have strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders. You will be confident coordinating multiple workstreams, influencing across teams, and leading change in a complex organisational environment. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential, alongside a collaborative and proactive approach.
You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider network, building effective relationships and driving improvements in the utilisation and development of learning environments. A commitment to enhancing the student and staff experience through high-quality, well-planned spaces is key.
Interviews scheduled to take place on Wednesday 10th June.
