Engineering Manager Job at Towcester, UK Full Time NEW

My client was founded in 1988 and is a world leader in delivering cutting-edge solutions in defence and communications. The key to their success is designing all products in-house, emphasising long-term reliability and quality control.

As the Engineering Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing a multi-disciplinary engineering team (Embedded Software, Hardware, Mechanical, Systems and RF). Additionally, the successful candidate will strengthen engineering processes and implement digital governance (including Jira), support and deliver approximately 6 active NPI or revenue-generating programmes a year (typically under 10), improve resource planning and execution to reduce team stretch, and ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Sales, Operations and Leadership.

What we would like from the Engineering Manager:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent in relevant subject (or equivalent work experience)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an equivalent role
• Experience in defence or aviation, and/or knowledge of RF, embedded systems or electronics would be highly beneficial
• Experience of Project and Line Management in the defence or aviation industry
• Experience of reporting to Senior Management
• AMP, Prince2 or similar certification
• British Citizen or the ability to obtain the required security clearance
