Work directly with adults and children in mental health settings, supporting rehabilitation, recovery, acute care, PICU, eating disorders and CAMHS. You’ll work across multiple wards, providing hands-on care where it’s most needed.
This is a flexible, shift-based role where you can pick from regular part-time to full-time shifts, including daily last-minute options that suit your schedule.
About the role
– Support adults and/or children as part of a multidisciplinary care team
– Deliver personal care and emotional support
– Maintain accurate care plans and documentation
– Report and escalate any safeguarding concerns appropriately
– Promote independence, dignity and choice in every interaction
What you’ll need
– Minimum 6 months’ experience in a UK care or support role
– MAPA training (or equivalent restraint training)
– Experience supporting people with mental health needs or learning disabilities
– Confidence delivering personal care
– Ability to provide 3 years of work references
– Ability to provide an overseas police check if you’ve lived in the UK for less than 5 years
– Flexibility to work across multiple wards and respond to short-notice and last-minute shift requests
