Full job description
An exciting and innovative investment firm is looking for a Finance Associate to join a lean and growing finance function. This is a broad, hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys variety, ownership and working close to the wider business.
The business is making its second finance hire, so this is a strong opportunity to help build processes, support day-to-day finance and get exposure beyond a narrow accounting remit.
Duties
- Support the day-to-day finance function across a broad range of finance activities.
- Running accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations.
- Multi-reconciliations acorss the finance function.
- Assist with finance administration, process improvement and the smooth running of core financial operations.
- Work closely with the existing finance lead and wider business on financial tasks, reporting support and ad hoc priorities. Reporting line is.
- Support HR, operations and other business administration where required.
- Help maintain accurate records, clear processes and strong attention to detail across finance and operational workflows.
- Take on wider projects and tasks as the finance function continues to develop.
Ideal candidate profile
- Previous finance or accounting experience in a hands-on role.
- Strong working experience with Excel and data manipulations (pivots, vlookups, IF)
- Comfortable working in a lean environment where the role will be broad and varied.
- Happy to take on finance work alongside HR, operations and other business-critical administration.
- Highly organised, detail-focused and proactive.
- Confident working with stakeholders across the business.
- Interested in joining an investment firm at a stage where I can have a real impact.
Package
- Salary: £40,000-£43,000.
- Hybrid working with office base in Farringdon.
