Senior Charge Nurse – Ravenscraig In‑Patient Ward
Ravenscraig inpatient ward is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse. This role leads new ways of working within a highly motivated team, fostering innovation, and partnering with wider multidisciplinary teams to deliver high standard care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the nursing team in line with the Senior Charge Nurse job description.
- Take 24‑hour continuing responsibility for the ward they manage.
- Work a shift pattern in line with clinical need and participate in the Senior Charge Nurse rota.
- Facilitate comprehensive induction and educational development for staff.
Qualifications
- First‑Level Registered Mental Health Nurse with significant post‑registration experience.
- Relevant speciality experience and appropriate post‑registration training.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent skill gained through experience, or willingness to undertake further academic studies.
Other Requirements
- Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
- Demonstrate right to work in the United Kingdom before submitting an application.
