Located in the heart of Manchester’s digital hub—MediaCityUK—you will be the heartbeat of our technical operations, ensuring our team has the tools and stability they need to innovate.

The Role

This isn’t just about “turning it off and on again.” You will be the primary technical consultant for our Manchester office, managing a high-performance environment that demands agility and precision.

• Frontline Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues (Windows/macOS environment).
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize our office network, cloud services (M365/Azure), and VOIP systems.
• Security First: Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols, ensuring all endpoints are patched, encrypted, and secure.
• Onboarding & Lifecycle: Manage the deployment of high-spec hardware for new starters and oversee asset management.
• Process Innovation: Identify recurring technical friction points and build automated solutions or documentation to eliminate them.

Who You Are

• The Problem Solver: You approach a complex system error like a puzzle that must be solved.
• The Translator: You can explain “latency” or “VPN tunneling” to a non-technical colleague without making their eyes glaze over.
• The Pro: You likely have 3+ years in a dedicated IT support or systems admin role, with certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Fundamentals.
• MediaCity Native: You thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment and enjoy being part of the Manchester tech scene.

Technical Toolkit

• Expertise in Windows 10/11 and macOS troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Intune, and Active Directory.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and Firewalls.
• Familiarity with ticket management systems (Jira Service Management, Zendesk, etc.).
