Salary: £35,000-£45,000Location: West Sussex, England, UKMust hold or be eligible to hold UK security clearance for this role. About the RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a Project Scheduler to join a Programmes team, supporting the implementation and oversight of project schedules across multiple defence engineering projects.Reporting to the Programme Director, you will work closely with Project and Programme Managers to define, build, and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Project Managers to define tasks, timelines, and resource requirementsDevelop and maintain detailed Microsoft Project schedules including WBS and dependenciesSupport planning activities during bid stages and project re-baseliningTrack project progress against plans and budgets, updating schedules accordinglyMaintain project KPIs and performance metricsManage resource requirements across multiple stakeholdersIdentify risks, opportunities, assumptions, and dependencies within schedulesSupport mitigation planning and risk forecastingEnsure schedules align with project scope and objectivesExperience required:Experience in project planning and schedulingStrong Microsoft Project (MSP) capabilityExperience working within project management methodologies, budgeting, and controlExperience in resource managementBackground in engineering or technical environments preferred2–3 years’ experience working across multiple concurrent projectsPRINCE2 or PMP desirableStrong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skillsHighly organised, detail-focused, and adaptableSecurity RequirementsEligibility for UK Security Clearance required, including 5 years’ UK residency, current British passport and citizenship.
