Group Finance Director

Central London – Hybrid Working

£100,000 – £120,000 + Bonus + Bens

CMC Consulting are partnering with an established and growing healthcare business seeking to appoint a senior finance leader to oversee and lead the finance function. This is a broad leadership role working closely with senior leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, governance, and operational improvement.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded finance professional with proven leadership experience within the healthcare sector and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, providing commercial insight, financial challenge, and data-driven recommendations to support key business decisions and long-term growth objectives.
• Lead the finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, robust controls, and full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and stakeholder reporting requirements across all entities.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a growing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
• Oversee the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process delivering accurate financial models and meaningful analysis to support strategic planning and business performance.
• Production of monthly management accounts, board packs, and statutory reporting, delivering clear commentary and actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
• Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimisation initiatives, alongside detailed scenario modelling to support operational resilience and future investment planning.

Skills & Experience :

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience within finance leadership roles
• Demonstrated experience operating within the healthcare sector
• Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams, alongside driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
• The ability to build effective relationships and communicate financial insight to non-finance stakeholders
