Job AdvertCalling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our incredible team in Southend. This role is for 36 hours per week.As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.This role will involve providing support during the night to the adults with a learning disability. Duties will include supporting with personal care, administering medication, moving and handling using hoists and wheelchairs, checking on general well-being, carrying out laundry tasks and some cleaning tasks throughout the night.Typical shifts are for 10 hours (10:00 pm to 08:00 am or 9.30pm to 7.30am).We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to making a difference to the people with learning disability. This is a challenging role however also tremendously rewarding too! In addition to this, you will be supported with our ongoing award-winning training to enhance your career.* An enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate.
