Shape the technical direction of enterprise-scale platforms and AI-driven transformation programmes!
We’re hiring a Technical Director to join a globally distributed team building modern digital systems for large enterprise clients.
You’ll be part of a senior engineering and delivery organisation focused on cloud-native platforms, AI-enabled solutions, and large-scale system modernisation.
The work involves partnering with well-known global brands across retail, finance, travel, and media to replace legacy systems and build scalable digital products.
As Technical Director, you’ll set technical direction across multiple programmes, ensuring strong architecture, smooth delivery, and alignment to business goals.
You’ll operate as a senior technical advisor to client executives while guiding internal teams through complex engineering challenges.
What you’ll do
- Own technical strategy and architecture across key client engagements
- Advise senior stakeholders (CTO/CIO level) on solution direction
- Lead discovery, pre-sales, and technical design discussions
- Ensure delivery quality, scalability, and risk management
- Guide and mentor senior engineers and technical leads
- Align engineering execution with commercial and client outcomes
- Contribute to AI, cloud, and modern engineering initiatives
What we’re looking for
- 15+ years in technical leadership, architecture, or senior engineering roles
- Strong background in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise delivery
- Experience in consulting, digital transformation, or client-facing technical roles
- Proven involvement in solution design and pre-sales activities
- Confident engaging with executive-level stakeholders
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering and AI-enabled systems
- Experience leading distributed, cross-functional teams
- Strong ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts
