*About the role*
We are looking for an experienced, inspiring and values-driven Registered Manager to lead our 4-bedroom children’s home in Wolverhampton. You will hold full responsibility for the operational leadership of the home, ensuring the highest standards of therapeutic, trauma-informed care for the children and young people who live there.
As Registered Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the home leading a stable, well-supported team and creating an environment where young people feel safe, valued and able to grow.

*What you’ll be doing:*
* Taking full registered responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of a 4-bedroom children’s home
* Leading, motivating and developing a team of residential support workers to deliver outstanding, consistent care
* Ensuring the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Home Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards
* Building and maintaining a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment that meets the individual needs of each young person
* Developing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments and placement plans in partnership with young people, families and professionals
* Managing budgets, staffing, rotas and resources effectively
* Acting as the primary point of contact for Ofsted, placing authorities, social workers and other stakeholders
* Leading the home through Ofsted inspections with confidence, drawing on a strong culture of quality and reflective practice
* Working closely with the Head of Quality Assurance to drive continuous improvement across the home
* Modelling the values and standards of the organisation at all times
*What we’re looking for:*
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within residential childcare
* Current or previous registration with Ofsted as a Registered Manager, or demonstrated readiness to register
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
* Strong knowledge of the Children’s Home Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted inspection frameworks
* A therapeutic, child-centred approach to care and leadership
* The ability to build, retain and inspire a stable staff team
* Excellent communication, record-keeping and report-writing skills
* Resilience, professionalism and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
* Full UK driving licence required
