A fantastic permanent opportunity for a full time Assistant Accountant role based in Stockport, initially office based but once settled opportunity for hybrid working.

Description
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Credit control
- Processing journals
- VAT returns
- Provide general support to the Accounting & Finance team as needed.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- A background in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Studying towards relevant finance qualification
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
