Marks Sattin are excited to be partnering with a rapidly growing and ambitious mid-market accountancy firm in Manchester to recruit an Audit Associate.

The Role

As an Audit Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit assignments, supporting Senior Associates and Assistant Managers throughout the audit process. This position offers the chance to build your technical expertise, develop client-facing skills, and take ownership of key areas of audit engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of audit assignments across a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Perform audit testing and fieldwork in line with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned sections of audit files, ensuring documentation is complete and well-organised.
• Liaise with clients during fieldwork, gathering information and resolving routine queries professionally.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and completion documentation.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality.
• Work flexibly across both office and client sites as required.

About You

• 1-3 years’ audit experience within a professional practice environment.
• Ideally, ACA or ACCA studying or AAT Qualified
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
