Car/LCV Technician Job at Preston PR NY Full Time NEW

This role involves supporting both external customers and maintaining our internal company fleet.

*Working Hours:*

* Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
* Up to £17.00 per hour depending on experience

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Carry out vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs to manufacturer standards
* Perform major mechanical work including cambelts, clutches, gearboxes, and engine repairs/replacements
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
* Conduct MOT testing (Class 4, 5, and 7) where qualified
* Complete job cards accurately and in a timely manner

*Experience, Skills & Qualifications*

Essential:

* Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Own tools

Desirable:

* MOT Tester Licence (Class 4/5/7)

*Training & Development Opportunities*

* Progression into HGV maintenance
