Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range £36,636 to £46,049 with potential progression once in post to £48,822

We have an exciting opportunity for a Case Manager for Student Health and Professionalism Concerns to join our diverse and vibrant Education support teams, supporting students and staff across the University. We are passionate about providing service excellence and the role will offer you the scope to contribute by proactively leading a team and identifying ways of enhancing the student experience, providing guidance and advice and supporting the successful delivery of academic programmes.
You will be part of the Education Services and Support team within the College of Medicine and Health which consists of over 100 Professional Services staff who work together to support and enable the delivery of education across Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes.
The College carries out investigations relating to the conduct, health, professionalism and fitness to practise of students on professional healthcare programmes. These investigations can be complex, with potentially serious consequences for those involved. The postholder will work with academic and professional services colleagues to ensure that procedures are in place to ensure these investigations are carried out fairly, lawfully and in accordance with the requirements of the University and Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies and with sensitivity to the circumstances of the students involved. The postholder will assist in the coordination of the investigations and will advise and provide procedural and administrative support to Investigating Officers and Decision Makers/Committees.
The postholder will also oversee and support academic appeals.
This is an exciting role which will enable the successful applicant to develop and shape the professional services support for misconduct and fitness to practise and academic appeals in line with the University’s strategy of delivering an excellent student experience. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to think creatively and collate and disseminate information is also vital.
The successful applicant will have experience in managing a complex workload and have developed wide-ranging communication skills, sufficient to generate and foster excellent working relationships in order to effectively manage and support change and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
