Credit Controller (3 Month FTC – Potential to be extended)

Peterborough | Full-Time & Office Based | 37.5 hours per week – Flex

Reed Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be supporting a well-established organisation in Peterborough in their search for a Credit Controller to join their finance team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential to be extended.

The Role

You will join a small, collaborative Credit Control team, taking responsibility for managing collections across a range of accounts, including both contract-based clients and privately funded customers.

While prior credit control experience is desirable, full training will be provided, including system training where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients regarding invoicing, resolving queries, issuing credit notes, and providing supporting documentation where needed
• Monitoring allocated accounts and providing updates in weekly meetings
• Contacting customers to collect payments via card
• Setting up and processing weekly/monthly direct debit runs using GoCardless
• Raising and processing credit notes with appropriate approvals
• Completing credit checks and setting up new accounts
• Working collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental KPIs

• Previous experience in a credit control or finance environment (essential)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships
• High level of attention to detail and organisation
• Confident using systems
• A proactive and positive team player
