Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Radiographer to join our friendly CT/MR team, to undertake a variety of CT and MR examinations efficiently and effectively for our patients, adhering to best practice of radiographic technique.

Working within the CT and MR department at the FGH provides excellent opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of CT and MR imaging procedures including trauma, MSK, neurological, vascular, paediatrics and oncology. The department is equipped with a brand new GE Revolution 256 slice scanner installed in April 2026, a GE 16 slice SPECT scanner, a Siemens Aera 1.5T MR scanner and the new Siemens Altea 1.5T installed in 2025 enabling a wide range of MR imaging.

Qualifications

and Experience

• BSc Radiography or equivalent
• Valid HCPC registration
• Experience working in an NHS hospital as a Radiographer
• Experience in CT and/or MR scanning
• Experience with IV cannulation and injection of IV contrast (desirable but not essential)
• Evidence of CPD and time spent in CT or MR
• Mentoring or supervising newly qualified and junior staff
• Specialist extended roles in CT or MR
• Experience with a wide range of equipment and procedures
• Effective communicator, verbally and written
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• High level of professionalism and technical standard, complying with relevant Codes of Practice
