Role Description

Elmhurst Prep School is seeking an Early Years Lead for a full-time, on-site role at our school. The Early Years Lead will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Early Years curriculum, providing a nurturing environment that supports the learning and development of young children. Responsibilities include mentoring and managing Early Years staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, tracking pupil progress, and fostering positive relationships with families. Collaboration with school leadership to drive high-quality early learning outcomes is also a key component of this role.

Qualifications

• Proven ability in Early Years teaching, curriculum planning, and fostering engaging learning environments.
• Experience in staff mentoring, team leadership, and professional development.
• Strong understanding of child development principles, compliance, and safeguarding practices in Early Years education.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a focus on collaboration with families and the wider school community.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, QTS status, or equivalent certifications.
• Organizational and time-management skills to effectively oversee multiple responsibilities and maintain a high standard of teaching and learning.
• Experience in independent education and knowledge of the Bellevue Education group’s ethos is an advantage.
