In this strategic leadership role, you will manage and mentor multiple engineering teams across different locations, with plans to establish a strong presence in new markets. You will shape the technical vision, build scalable systems, and partner closely with product and business leaders to deliver complex, industry-leading solutions—culminating in a major product launch set for next summer. Your hands-on expertise and industry insight will be essential in delivering impactful products that prioritize user privacy, operational excellence, and innovative AI integrations.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years leading and managing cross-functional teams and 3+ years managing engineering managers
• Proven success in building, scaling, and operating large-scale backend systems with high reliability
• Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and modern API-driven architectures
• JAVA led programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Angular, React)
• Hands-on, collaborative leadership style—able to code, troubleshoot, and guide teams through complex technical challenges
• Excellent communicator with experience working across diverse teams and multiple time zones

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience or familiarity with complex logistical platforms or the travel industry
• Experience guiding AI-driven workflows and data-driven decision-making
• Prior involvement in start-up environments or rapid product iteration cycles, especially in high-growth settings
• Knowledge of industry partnerships, vendor integrations, and standards adoption

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 10 years of relevant software engineering experience, with extensive leadership in fast-paced, start-up-like environments working with major clients and Fortune 500 companies
