Duties & Responsibilities
Stores Assistant Function
- Issuing of spares to work order requirements
- Accurate cycle counting
- Maintain the re-ordering system as required and proposing changes to order points
- Communicate stock shortages in a timely manner to ensure stock levels are maintained to the agreed level
- To ensure the stores area is kept in a clean and tidy manner
- Receive and receipt goods into the department and make sure delivery note matches purchase order. To highlight any discrepancies in the appropriate manner (carrying out corporate governance role D – Inventory, with respect to Purchase to Pay Cycle – Goods and Services )
- Despatch items for repair as and when required
- Process work orders within the department when required
- Issue relevant stock movement reports in the absence of the purchasing controller (engineering)
- Any other reasonable duties as requested

Essential:
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good Literacy and numeracy skills
- Full Driving Licence
- Knowledge of inventory management techniques
- The ability to plan and organise own workload to best effect and to be methodical in approach.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- High degree of IT literacy including Microsoft Office and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems/ERP systems
- Able to produce reports and manage computer systems being familiar with Word, Excel, and similar office applications
