We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established business based in Sheerness. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who is confident managing both payroll and accounts functions within a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Processing PAYE, NI, and pension contributions
- Managing weekly payroll (circa 50 employees) and monthly payroll (10–12 employees)
- Full responsibility for purchase and sales ledgers
- Producing accounts up to Trial Balance
- Supporting month-end processes and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar accounts and payroll role
- Strong working knowledge of VAT, payroll legislation, PAYE, and pensions
- Experience managing high-volume payroll
- Confident handling both ledgers independently
- Ability to produce accounts up to Trial Balance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
