Food Production Packing Operative

Our client is a well-established canned food manufacturer based in Manchester, known for producing a diverse range of high-quality canned goods including soups, ready meals, sauces, and beans. With a strong reputation for excellence in the food industry, they are committed to delivering outstanding products to their customers.

We are currently recruiting dedicated and reliable individuals to join the production team as Food Production Packing Operatives. This role is based at the manufacturing site near Swinton, Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packing products from the production lines efficiently and accurately

• Preparing customer orders in line with specifications

• Assisting with various tasks as directed by the line manager

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the production area

• Adhering to all safety and quality guidelines

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable

• Prior packing experience would be advantageous

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work well within a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Physically capable of lifting items up to 10kg

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (8.5 hours) Breaks: 15 minutes at 9:00 AM, 30 minutes at 12:00 PM, 15 minutes at 2:00 PM

• Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (6 hours) Break: 30 minutes at 9:30 AM

• Total Weekly Hours: 40
