Contract: 12 month maternity cover

Hybrid: 4 days in office

Location: Clapham Common

About the role

Reporting to the Design Director, you will lead the technical function across all product categories, partnering closely with Design, Buying, Ethical and suppliers to deliver beautifully fitting, high-quality products without compromising aesthetic vision.

You will play a key role in elevating product performance, improving processes and driving innovation across the critical path.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the Hush garment technology strategy, driving improvements in customer feedback, product quality, fit consistency and returns reduction
• Provide technical expertise across pattern cutting, grading, garment construction and fit throughout the development and production process
• Partner closely with Design and Buying teams to translate creative concepts into commercially viable, high-quality products
• Drive product elevation initiatives through strong supplier engagement and collaborative working practices
• Ensure technical, compliance and safety standards are maintained across all selling regions and supplier partners
• Analyse product performance data to identify opportunities for quality improvement and cost engineering efficiencies
• Lead, mentor and develop the Garment Tech team, fostering a high-performance and commercially focused culture
• Manage supplier relationships and support seasonal planning strategies across the wider product lifecycle
• Continuously challenge ways of working, championing innovation, operational improvements and the Hush values across the business

About You

• Significant experience within an apparel or fashion retail environment, ideally across womenswear
• Strong expertise in garment construction, fit, pattern cutting and grading
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, product testing and compliance standards
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, develop and influence teams and stakeholders
• Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships
• Highly organised, proactive and motivated, with a passion for product excellence
