Every day, 86,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
Your future role
The Bogies Department in Derby has a long history of developing bogies to meet the international market needs with products running all around the world. Derby has developed the Flexx Eco Bogie Platform with over 7,000 bogies delivered/ordered across the world with operating environment extremes from the cold climate of Norway to the hot environment of Riyadh.
The HS2 project represents the first application of inboard bearing bogies in the Very High Speed market, leveraging their inherent advantages of reduced mass and improved aerodynamics. The project has now progressed beyond the preliminary design phase and is currently in the detailed design stage, with bogie manufacturing planned for next year.
This phase is particularly rewarding, as it reflects the culmination of years of engineering effort, experience, and expertise. The team takes great pride in the design they have developed, recognising the knowledge and dedication that have contributed to bringing the project to this advanced stage.
