Industrial IT Systems Engineer (OT/Production) Job at Banbury Full Time

Fine Lady Bakeries is looking for an experienced Industrial IT Systems Engineer (OT/Production) to support and improve the reliability of our factory-floor systems, industrial connectivity, and production data flows across a 24/7 food manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on, site-based role with a split between office-based analysis and active support on the factory floor. We are looking for a practical trouble-shooter who enjoys solving operational problems, supporting high-uptime production systems, and working closely with Engineering and Operations teams.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting Operational Technology (OT), industrial networking, production systems integration, and manufacturing data reliability across the business.

The role will involve:

• Supporting plant-floor PCs, terminals, and industrial endpoints
• Troubleshooting OT connectivity and production system issues
• Supporting Industrial Networking infrastructure including VLANs and segmentation
• Monitoring and improving production data flows and reporting paths
• Supporting systems integration between operational and business systems
• Coordinating vendor access and maintaining OT documentation
• Supporting MES readiness, operational reporting, and data integrity
• Working within a high-uptime manufacturing environment where technology reliability directly impacts production

What We Are Looking For

Essential

• Experience supporting systems within manufacturing, industrial, logistics, engineering, or other high-uptime environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of Industrial Networking, IP networking, VLANs, and connectivity concepts
• Experience supporting Windows endpoints and operational systems
• Ability to work calmly under pressure within a live production environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and third-party vendors

Desirable

• Experience with OT/Production systems
• Experience supporting production data systems or systems integration
• SQL query experience for data validation and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of IT/OT segmentation and vendor access governance
• Exposure to MES, reporting systems, or operational data platforms
• Understanding of incident management and change control processes
