Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated IT Service Desk Analyst to provide exceptional technical support to our organisation. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for users experiencing IT issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your IT support skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Duties
- Respond promptly to user enquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system, providing clear and effective technical assistance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral device issues in a professional manner.
- Escalate complex problems to specialised teams when necessary, ensuring seamless communication throughout the resolution process.
- Document all support activities accurately within the ticketing system for future reference and reporting purposes.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and software for staff members.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of common issues and solutions to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Participate in ongoing training programmes to stay current with emerging technologies and support practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role is desirable.
- Strong understanding of Windows and hardware and telecomunications, as well as common enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with networking principles, including TCP/IP, VPNs, and wireless connectivity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCSD) are advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development is highly valued.
Pay: From £12.00 per hour
