Lead Engineer – £90,000–£110,000 – Remote (UK)

We’re working with a high-growth technology business building advanced data-driven and AI-enabled software products. They’re looking for a Lead Engineer to take ownership of technical direction within one of their core product teams, helping shape how modern AI-powered systems are designed, built, and delivered at scale.

The Role:

This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, focused on delivering scalable, cloud-native platforms that embed AI into real operational workflows. You’ll play a key role in shaping system design, influencing engineering standards, and guiding developers, while remaining close to the code.

Experience Required:

• 10+ years experience in backend development using Node.js
• Frontend Development using React
• Background in leading technical delivery and influencing architecture
• Practical experience working with AI/LLM-based applications
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and scalable system design
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g Financial Services) is beneficial
